Die Blues-Rock-Band DOROTHY sendet uns ab dem 22.04.2022 ein „Gift From The Holy Ghost“.
Dorothy Martin wurde während einer Tour auf tragische Weise mit dem Tod konfrontiert, als ihr Gitarrentechniker eine Überdosis nahm. Dorothy fing instinktiv an, für sein Leben zu beten. Als sich die Band und Crew um den Körper in einem Kreis versammelten und dieser auf wundersame Weise überlebte, war das auch die spirituelle Wiedergeburt der Band DOROTHY und die Inspiration für das neue Album „Gift From The Holy Ghost“.
Frontfrau Dorothy sagte selber: “This album had to get made, I felt like I had a mission.”
Musikalisch stehen DOROTHY für bombastischen, großartigen Rock, der zwischen Blues und Alternative pendelt. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei natürlich die kraftvolle und ausdrucksstarke Perfomance von Sängerin Dorothy Martin, die gebürtig aus Budapest stammt. Ihr neues Album, das über das Label von Jay-Z Roc Nation läuft, schätzt sie so ein: “I think this album is going to speak to a lot of people, it’s meant to be healing, unifying, eye-opening, ear-opening, heart-opening and celebratory. I wanted to make the realest album I could make, and I went in with the question does this make me feel alive? Does it make me feel free? If a song didn’t give me chills or make my heart soar, then it didn’t make the cut.” Sie ergänzte: “I’m just here to impart inspiring messages to people while having fun and rocking out!”

I’ve had a lot of deep revelations about my life, stuff I hadn’t been able to cope with until now. Now I’m learning new tools.”
