Das nächste Metalcore and more-Paket aus dem Hause Avocado Booking steht ins Haus: Diesmal wieder mit Polaris aus Sydney, die unlängst ihr drittes Album „Fatalism“ veröffentlicht haben. Es ist nicht weniger als eine Apotheose der Einsicht in die Unabänderlichkeit bestimmter Dinge, die außerhalb unserer selbst liegen – und der daraus resultierenden Freiheit: „For us, fatalism is the resignation to the idea that you have no control over certain things, that some things are almost pre-determined and inevitable, which seems like a negative and almost fearful notion. But one of the reasons I was drawn to it as a concept and as an album title was that there’s almost a freedom in that idea too. Once you can accept that there are certain things you simply can’t control – it’s actually very liberating”, erläutert Schlagzeuger Daniel Furnari. Diese Einsicht servieren sie zwischen herrlichem Screamo, Emo-, Metalcore und dramatischen Breakdowns, dass es nur so eine Art hat.
Zu Polaris gesellen sich Silent Planet aus Los Angeles, die sich nach C.S. Lewis‘ Sci-Fi-Roman „Out Of The Silent Planet“ aus dem Jahr 1938 benannt haben, die hervorragenden Thornhill aus Melbourne und Paledusk aus Fukuoka, Japan.
